The meeting was also attended by MP Dubravka Filipovski, deputy member of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee.
In the course of the meeting, the officials exchanged ideas highlighting the positive practices of the two parliamentary committees. They also discussed the potential for improving bilateral cooperation, with a special focus on the importance and organisation of regional meetings (workshops, conferences, seminars etc.) They also exchanged opinions on the possible regional approach to the realisations of professional development programmes for the members of their respective committees and support service staff.
In a cordial atmosphere, the officials discussed numerous topics from the two committees’ scope, opining that the existing practice of annual meetings of parliamentary committees tasked with defence and security should be continued since, they agreed, they have proved very useful.
