Ivan’s energy was unprecedented on our cultural scene, he was the tireless leader not only of Belgrade Philharmonic to which he had dedicated his life, but of Belgrade and Serbia’s entire cultural scene. He bound his artistic talent with immense enthusiasm for the renewal and promotion of the Serbian cultural heritage, indebting us and the generations to come. Many plans and ideas will remain unrealised, his premature departure put an end to a noble endeavour, we can only remember his bright spirit and take good care of everything Ivan Tasovac had done. My sincerest condolences to the family of Ivan Tasovac, his colleagues and friends," states the telegram of condolences of National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic.
