Consultations of National Assembly Chairperson with chairperson of Social Democracy Deputies’ Group
The Chairperson of the National Assembly, Natasa Micic, held consultations today with chairperson of the Social Democracy Deputies’ Group, Natasa Milojevic, regarding the Group’s initiative to solve problems which have been troubling both the public and the work of the Parliament.
The Chairperson of the National Assembly, Natasa Micic, held consultations today with chairperson of the Social Democracy Deputies’ Group, Natasa Milojevic, regarding the Group’s initiative to solve problems which have been troubling both the public and the work of the Parliament.
The Social Democracy Deputies’ Group has proposed that amendments and modifications to the Election Act should be put onto the Assembly’s agenda, introducing live broadcasts of the Assembly’s sessions, and solving problems surrounding the election of the governor of the National Bank.
It was agreed that other deputies’ groups should be consulted regarding the introduction of live broadcasts, or a dedicated television channel. The Social Democrats’ proposal will be voted on by the Deputies at a future session of the Assembly.
The Chairperson of the Assembly agreed that problems surrounding the election of the governor should be overcome, but also that it was necessary for DOS Deputies’ Groups to act together, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
