The meeting was chaired by the President of the General Assembly Sergei Popov from Russia and Secretary General Anastasios Nerantzis from Greece.

Cotric informed the participants on the positions of the Serbian Assembly regarding European Integration, the Kosovo-Metohija issue, attitude toward traditional churches and religious communities, as well as the Fifth Meeting of the Inter-Orthodox Network of Initiatives for Research of Religions and Destructive Cults, held in Novi Sad, from 24 to 27 September this year.

At the meeting, it was decided to hold the organisation’s next, 20th Annual Conference, in Athens, from 27 June to 1 July 2013, with the participation of the national parliament speakers of all the 26 countries represented in the IAO.

In Athens, the members of the International Secretariat and the Committee Chairpersons of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy were received by the Hellenic Parliament Speaker Evangelos Meimarakis and His Beatitude, Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Hieronymus the Second.

In the Serbian Embassy in Athens, MP Aleksandar Cotric spoke with Ambassador Dragan Zupanjevac about the relations between Serbia and Greece and the Serbian diaspora in this country.
