At its session held on 10 May, members of the Committee on Health and the Family discussed forthcoming systemic health care legislation, currently in procedure at the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

Besides members of the Committee, the session was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Republic Health Insurance Fund, the Serbian Medical Association, the Serbian Private Doctors Chamber and the Serbian Private Dentists Association.

The deputy Minister of Health, Dr Dragomir Marisavljevic, informed those present of the Medicines Bill, forwarded by the Government of the Republic of Serbia to the National Assembly for discussion.

At the next session, scheduled for Wednesday 12 May, members of the Committee on Health and the Family are to discuss the conclusions of the Committee’s seventh session, devoted to the reform of Serbia’s blood transfusion service.
