At the start of the sitting, held on 5 December, members of the Administrative Committee observed a minute’s silence in honour of deceased deputy Rodoljub Gacevic. The Administrative Committee informed the National Assembly of the reason for the termination of office of deputy Gacevic, who had been elected on the Serbian Radical Party – Dr Vojislav Seselj Electoral List, so that the Assembly could note the termination of his mandate before the expiry of the term to which he had been elected.

The Committee adopted a decision authorising the payment, due to a deputy, of the difference between the salary of a municipal clerk and that of a deputy in 2005 and 2006, as well as the Proposal of the Decision Modifying the Decision Establishing Salary Entitlements After Termination of Office for Deputies to the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro Delegated from the Republic of Serbia, and Officials Elected, Appointed, or Nominated by the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro Delegated from the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee also adopted the Proposal of the Decision Establishing Base Pay Rates for Nominated and Appointed to, and Employed by, the National Assembly Support Service, which increases the base rate for salaries since November by 4% over that established by the previous decision.

Proposals for appointments of civil servants to positions of National Assembly Assistant Secretaries, made by the Secretary of the National Assembly, were also adopted. Mirjana Radakovic, incumbent, was appointed Assistant to the Secretary of the National Assembly – Head of Working Body Affairs Sector; Jasminka Jakovljevic, incumbent, was appointed Assistant to the Secretary of the National Assembly - Head of Organisation and Administrative Affairs Sector; Radica Aleksic, hitherto head of the Financial Affairs Division, was appointed Assistant to the Secretary of the National Assembly –Head of Financial Affairs Sector; Milan Brzakovic, hitherto head of the Long-Term and Current Maintenance Division, was appointed Assistant to the Secretary of the National Assembly – Head of Long-Term and Current Maintenance Sector

The sitting was chaired by the Committee’s vice-chairman, Petar Cvetkovic.

When the sitting continued on 13 December, the Administrative Committee adopted the Proposal of the Decision Establishing Base Pay Rates for Persons Nominated and Appointed to, and Employed by the Support Services of the President of the Republic. According to the Secretary of the National Assembly, Marko Danilovic, the adoption of the Proposal of the Decision meant that base pay rates of persons nominated and appointed to, and employed by, the National Assembly Support Service and the Support Services of the President of the Republic were now equal.
