81st Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 27 February, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government reviewed in principle the Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol amending the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data, submitted by the Government.


The Committee members proposed that the National Assembly accept the Bill in principle.

The Committee went on to review the Bill on Determining the Origin of Property and Special Tax, submitted by the Government, in detail. 38 amendments were submitted to the Bill, one of them by the Committee. In addition to the Committee’s amendment, the Government and the Committee accepted two more amendments submitted by MPs Nikola Savic and Ruzica Nikolic.

Of the five amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Civil Procedure Code, the Committee accepted the two submitted in identical formulation by MPs Dr Alaksandar Martinovic and Djordje Komlenski.

The Government and the Committee accepted none of the six amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law of Contract and Torts.

Finally, the Committee reviewed the Bill on Ascertaining the Facts about the Status of New-Borns Suspected to Have Gone Missing from Maternity Wards in the Republic of Serbia, submitted by the Government, in detail. 86 amendments were submitted to the Bill, six of them by the Committee which were accepted, as well as additional two.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Petar Petrovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Marijan Risticevic, Doc. Dr Mihailo Jokic, Miletic Mihajlovic, Jovan Palalic, Zarko Micin, Dr Balint Pasztor, Stanija Kompirovic and Nedjo Jovanovic.
