7th session of the Privatisation Committee

At its session held on 30 March, the Privatisation Committee endorsed the report of the Corruption Suppression Council of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and agreed that it would use information provided by the Council in its future activities.

At the request of the Committee’s chairman, Milko Stimac, a joint meeting was announced of members of the Privatisation Committee, the Corruption Suppression Council and representatives of the Ministry of Economy, which is to see a detailed discussion of all disputed issues relating to privatisation procedures.

Members of the Committee discussed the information of the Ministry of Economy on the implementation of the privatisation of Krusevac-based Zupa Public Enterprise, and on the monitoring of the implementation of the sales contract of Belgrade-based Gorica Joint-Stock Company.

The report submitted by the Ministry of Economy on the activities of the Privatisation Agency for February 2004, together with the Agency’s programme of activities for March 2004, was not discussed, as representatives of the Agency were prevented from attending the session.

At the end of the session, the Committee’s chairman, Milko Stimac, informed the members of a meeting held at the Ministry of Economy on possible solutions of post-privatisation problems.
