7th session of the Committee on Relations with Serbs Living Outside Serbia

A joint meeting of members of the Committee on Relations with Serbs Living Outside Serbia and the Ministry of the Diaspora of the Government of the Republic of Serbia was held on 23 December 2004 at the Ministry of the Diaspora.


A joint meeting of members of the Committee on Relations with Serbs Living Outside Serbia and the Ministry of the Diaspora of the Government of the Republic of Serbia was held on 23 December 2004 at the Ministry of the Diaspora.

The Minister of the Diaspora in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Vojislav Vukcevic, together with his associates presented the draft Programme of Activities of the Ministry for 2005, the most significant part of it being the drafting of a Diaspora Bill, an act aimed at comprehensively regulating relations between Serbia and the diaspora.

Representatives of the Ministry of the Diaspora announced the start of the Diaspora Census project, the founding of the Information and Documentation Centre at the Ministry, the organisation of a conference of Serbian-Austrian businesspeople in Vienna, as well as other activities aiming to improve co-operation with Serbs living abroad.

The Committee’s session was chaired by the Chairman of the Committee on Relations with Serbs Living Outside Serbia, Miljko Cetrovic.
