65th Sitting of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy

At the sitting held on 3 March, the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy considered the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Activity Report for the period 1 October – 31 December 2019 and the Ministry of Economy Report on the privatisation process for January 2020.

The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Activity Report for the period 1 October – 31 December 2019 was presented by representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications state secretaries Stevan Nikcevic and Miroslav Knezevic and acting Minister’s assistant Olivera Jocic.

The Ministry representatives presented the legislative activities, saying that among other things, in the reporting period, the Ministry had adopted the Bill on the Confirmation of the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Eurasian Economic Union and its Member States. They briefed the Committee members on the acts adopted and acts prepared to be sent to the Government, mixed commissions and committees held and bilateral contacts realized.

The positive results of the Ministry’s international cooperation in the field of tourism was crowned by the Serbian Business Association of Hotel and Service Industry becoming a full member of HOTREC - the Association of Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Cafes and similar establishments in Europe, on 16-18 October 2019 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

The Committee members unanimously adopted the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Activity Report for the period 1 October – 31 December 2019.

The Ministry of Economy Report on the privatisation process for January 2020 was presented by State Secretary Dragan Grgurevic and acting Minister’s assistant Dragan Ugrcic.

Dragan Grgurevic said that on 31 January 2020 a total of 78 subjects were in the privatisation process, for 60 of which it was not possible to publish a public announcement. He also spoke of the repeated public announcements and public announcements in progress. The Committee members were also briefed on the sales contracts concluded and successful sales.

The Committee unanimously adopted the Ministry of Economy Report on the privatisation process for January 2020.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Snezana B. Petrovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Studenka Stojanovic, Stanislava Janosevic, Zoran Bojanic, Snezana R. Petrovic, Vojislav Vujic, Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic and Ana Carapic.
