The Bill was presented by Dejan Dabetic on behalf of the Ministry of Finance who said that the Agreement, signed in the times of former Yugoslavia, has been implemented by Serbia to date. However, the other contracting side was of the opinion that, in line with its regulations, the Agreement should not be implemented anymore which the Serbian side accepted. The competent ministry had in December 2018 moved to rescind the Agreement starting January 2019, which the Government accepted and the present Bill would now formally inform the public that the Agreement is no longer part of the country’s legal system.

The Committee ruled, by majority of vote, to propose that the National Assembly accept the Bill.
