5th session of the Constitutional Affairs Committee

At its session held on 30 May 2005, the Constitutional Issues Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed the Proposal of Amendments to the Constitutional Charter of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, with its associated Bill on the Implementation of Amendments I and II to the Constitutional Charter of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, proposed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.


At its session held on 30 May 2005, the Constitutional Issues Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed the Proposal of Amendments to the Constitutional Charter of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, with its associated Bill on the Implementation of Amendments I and II to the Constitutional Charter of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, proposed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

The Constitutional Issues Committee resolved to propose that the National Assembly should adopt the Proposal of Amendments to the Constitutional Charter of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, with its associated Bill on the Implementation of Amendments I and II to the Constitutional Charter of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro.

Citing Articles 62 and 67 of the Constitutional Charter of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, the Committee resolved that there were no legal or constitutional objections to adopt the Proposal of Amendments, as well as that the National Assembly should jointly discuss the Proposal of Amendments to the Constitutional Charter of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, with its associated Bill on the Implementation of Amendments I and II to the Constitutional Charter of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, and vote on them separately.

The Committee resolved that the National Assembly should not discuss and vote on amendments submitted by deputies to the Proposal of Amendments to the Constitutional Charter of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro with its associated Bill on the Implementation of Amendments I and II to the Constitutional Charter of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro.

The chairman of the Constitutional Issues Committee, Predrag Markovic, was designated Committee rapporteur at the session of the National Assembly.

The Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government, Zoran Loncar, took part in the session as representative of the proposer.
