5th session of the Committee on Transportation and Communications
At its fifth session, held on 13 December, the Committee on Transportation and Communications discussed and in principle endorsed the Railways Bill and the Postal Services Bill.
At its fifth session, held on 13 December, the Committee on Transportation and Communications discussed and in principle endorsed the Railways Bill and the Postal Services Bill.
The Minister for Capital Investments, Velimir Ilic, together with his assistants from the Ministry, took part in the session.
The Committee discussed 23 amendments submitted to the Railways Bill. One amendment was withdrawn, while the Committee and the Government endorsed three, thereby making them integral parts of the Bill.
Of the 55 amendments submitted to the Postal Services Bill, the Government endorsed five, while the Committee endorsed two. Four amendments received the backing of both the Committee and the Government, while the remaining amendments were not endorsed.
The session reached agreement on organising a meeting with representatives of the main railwaymen’s union to discuss the Railways Bill.
