58th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 9 September 2021, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered the Consumer Protection Bill in detail.


The Committee found all four of the amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee also considered the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on War Memorials, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus on Cooperation in the Field of Disaster Protection and the Bill on the Confirmation of Decision 2014/2 Amending Annex I to the Convention on the Transboundary Effects of Industrial Accidents, submitted by the Government, and found all of them to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee then considered the Bill on the Use of the Serbian Language in Public Life and the Protection and Preservation of the Cyrillic Alphabet, submitted by the Government, in principle and found it to comply with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Jelena Zaric Kovacevic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Zeljko Tomic, Nevena Veinovic, Vuk Mircetic, Luka Kebara, Ugljesa Mrdic, Dubravka Kralj, Toma Fila, Djordje Todorovic and Milos Terzic.
