57th Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 13 May, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered the bills on the agenda of the Fifth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2019.


The Committee members adopted, in principle, the Bill amending and modifying the Criminal Code, Bill amending and modifying the Criminal Procedure Code, Bill on Prevention of Corruption, as well as the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Seizure and Confiscation of Proceeds from Crime, submitted by the Government.

The Committee also adopted in principle the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Execution of Criminal Sanctions, submitted by the Government, and the Proposal of the Decision on the election of court presidents and the Proposal of the Decision on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time, submitted by the High Judicial Council.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Petar Petrovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Aleksandra Majkic, Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, Dr Mihajlo Jokic, Nedjo Jovanovic, Miletic Mihajlovic, Djordje Komlenski, Zarko Micin, Dr Balint Pasztor and Marko Parezanovic.
