51st Sitting of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications

At the sitting held on 22 October, the members of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications considered the Bill on Postal Services, Bill on the Confirmation of the Acts of the World Postal Union and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Information Security, in principle.


The bills were presented by representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Marija Vucinic, head of the Department of Postal Services and Supervision, and Natalija Radoja, head of the Department for Regulations, Analysis and Planning in the field of Information Society.

Marija Vucinic said that the objectives of the postal services legislation is to create the environment conducive to the improvement of the postal services market, ensure the sustainability and accessibility of universal postal services and improve the quality of said services.

Following a brief debate, the Committee members proposed, by majority vote, that the National Assembly accept the bills in principle.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Katarina Rakic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Ivana Nikolic, Dalibor Radicevic, Dr Vladimir Orlic, Ognjen Pantovic, Aleksandar Stevanovic, Jasmina Karanac, Olivera Pesic, Stefana Miladinovic, Goran Kovacevic and Snezana B. Petrovic.
