4th session of the Committee on Health and the Family
The Committee on Health and the Family held its fourth session on 5 April 2004.The session, chaired by the Committee’s chairman, Dr Paja Momcilov, discussed the Serbian health service, the state of health of Serbia’s population, as well as the strategy for the development of health care in Serbia.

The session, chaired by the Committee’s chairman, Dr Paja Momcilov, discussed the Serbian health service, the state of health of Serbia’s population, as well as the strategy for the development of health care in Serbia.
The Committee’s session was also attended by the Minister of Health in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Tomica Milosavljevic. He presented a document drafted by the Ministry of Health, “Better Health for All in the Third Millennium”, outlining the Ministry’s priority activities.
The Minister stressed that more stable financing of the health service was a precondition for safeguarding and improving the health of the population.
The next session of the Committee was convened for Wednesday 7 April, and is scheduled to discuss citizens’ complaints and suggested solutions.
