47th session of the Privatisation Committee

At its session held on 1 September 2005, the Privatisation Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed and endorsed the Report of the Ministry of the Economy on the activities of the Privatisation Agency for the period January – June 2005. The Report of the Ministry of the Economy on the activities of the Privatisation Agency for July 2005, with its associated Programme of Activities of August 2005, was also discussed and endorsed.


At its session held on 1 September 2005, the Privatisation Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed and endorsed the Report of the Ministry of the Economy on the activities of the Privatisation Agency for the period January – June 2005. The Report of the Ministry of the Economy on the activities of the Privatisation Agency for July 2005, with its associated Programme of Activities of August 2005, was also discussed and endorsed.

Members of the Privatisation Committee also endorsed the Report on the Activities of the Share Fund of the Republic of Serbia for July 2005, and endorsed the Report of the Securities and Exchange Commission on the functioning of the money market and its institutions.

The Committee concluded that it was necessary to urgently adopt a package of laws relating to takeovers, the securities market, investment funds, voluntary pension insurance and commodity shares, in order to fully regulate the financial market.

The session was attended by the Minister of the Economy, Predrag Bubalo, with his associates, the director of the Share Fund, Aleksandar Gracanac, the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Milko Stimac, the director of the Central Registry, Vida Uzelac, and the director of the Privatisation Agency, Miodrag Djordjevic, with his associates.

The session was chaired by the chairman of the Privatisation Committee, Nikola Novakovic.
