42nd Sitting of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society

At the sitting held on 20 January 2020, the members of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society considered a number of bills on the agenda of the 19th Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 11th Legislature.

Representatives of the submitter, Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic and Director of the Intellectual Property Office Vladimir Maric, presented the Bill amending and modifying the Law on National Qualifications Framework of the Republic of Serbia, Bill on Trade Marks, Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Foundations of the Education System, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Secondary Education, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Dual Education, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of France on the Status of the French School in Belgrade, Bill on the Confirmation of the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired or Otherwise Print Disabled and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia on Cooperation in the Field of Education, Science and Technology, submitted by the Government.

Following a debate, the Committee proposed, by majority vote, that the National Assembly accept the bills in principle.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Muamer Zukorlic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Doc. Dr Mihailo Jokic, Olena Papuga, Prof. Dr Ljubisa Stojmirovic, Miletic Mihajlovic, Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, Milena Bicanin, Arpad Fremond and Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic.
