40th session of the Justice and Administration Committee

At its fortieth session, held on 14 September, the Justice and Administration Committee discussed the particulars of the Bill on the Programme of Protection of Participants in Criminal Proceedings, the Bill Amending and Modifying the Code on Criminal Proceedings, and the Criminal Code Bill.


At its fortieth session, held on 14 September, the Justice and Administration Committee discussed the particulars of the Bill on the Programme of Protection of Participants in Criminal Proceedings, the Bill Amending and Modifying the Code on Criminal Proceedings, and the Criminal Code Bill.

One amendment became an integral part of the Bill on the Programme of Protection of Participants in Criminal Proceedings, while the Government and the Committee endorsed 125 amendments submitted to the Criminal Code Bill. Six amendments submitted to the Bills were withdrawn, while the remainder are to be discussed by the National Assembly.

When the session resumed (on 19 September), the Committee continued discussing the particulars of the Bills. Twenty-eight amendments submitted to the Bill on Underage Perpetrators of Criminal Offences and Criminal Protection of Underage Persons became integral parts of the Bill; in addition, 58 amendments submitted to the Bill on the Performance of Criminal Sanctions became integral parts of that Bill. Both the representative of the submitter and the Committee failed to endorse the remaining amendments.
