35th Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 12 December, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues first amended the agenda to include a new item - resignation tendered to the post of MP by Aleksandar Jablanovic.

The Committee ascertained that the resignation of MP Aleksandar Jablanovic, elected from the ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – FUTURE WE BELIEVE IN (Serbian Progressive Party, Social Democratic Party of Serbia, New Serbia, Serbian Renewal Movement, Socialist Movement) Electoral List, falls under article 88, paragraph 1, item 2 of the Law on the Election of Members of Parliament which lists resignation as a reason for the termination of an MP’s term of office before the before the expiry of the term they were elected for, and therefore proposed that the National Assembly note the termination of said MP’s term of office pursuant to article 88, paragraph 3 and 4 of the same Law.

This allows for the election of a new MP by allocation of term of office by the submitter of the abovementioned electoral list to another candidate as stipulated by paragraph 92 of the Law on the Election of Members of Parliament.

The Committee members went on to discuss the Secretary General’s notification on the reprimand issued to MP Zoran Zivkovic to maintain order at the Eighth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2014 and decided to fine MP Zoran Zivkovic for it.

At the 35th sitting, the Committee also discussed the Secretary General’s notification on the reprimand issued to MP Vladimir Pavicevic to maintain order at the Ninth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2014. The Committee members decided to fine MP Vladimir Pavicevic for the reprimand.

The sitting was chaired by Zoran Babic, Committee Chairman.
