33rd Sitting of the European Integration Committee

At the sitting held on 2 February 2022, the members of the European Integration Committee considered the Bill amending the Law on Items of General Use, submitted by the Government, in principle.


The Bill was presented by State Secretary at the Ministry of Health Predrag Sezdanovic who said that the elimination of Article 120 is proposed due to the European Commission’s comment submitted to Negotiation Group 1 in 2021 in which the European Commission drew attention to the need to remove the transitional provision of Article 120 of the Law on Items of General Use i.e. marking products with the Serbian mark of conformity in the transitional period.

Following the presentation, the Committee members accepted the Bill in principle.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Elvira Kovacs, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dijana Radovic, Ljiljana Malusic, Dusan Radojevic, Nemanja Joksimovic, Dubravka Filipovski, Vesna Markovic, Ana Miljanic, Viktor Jevtovic, Ana Pesic and Dusica Stojkovic.
