At its session held on 27 June 2005, the Finance Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia endorsed the Deposit Insurance Bill, the Deposit Insurance Agency Bill, the Bill on the Bankruptcy and Liquidation of Banks and Insurance Companies, and the Bill on the Export Insurance and Financing Agency of the Republic of Serbia. The Committee discussed the Bill Amending and Modifying the Insurance Act, the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on Banks and Other Financial Organisations, the Bill Amending and Modifying the Guarantee Fund Agency Act, and the Bill Amending and Modifying the Financial Leasing Act.

At today’s session, Committee members discussed all amendments submitted to the package of financial Bills.

The Bills were presented by the Minister of Finance, Mladjan Dinkic.

The agenda of the session comprised the proposal for the creation of a Working Group of the Finance Committee charged with reviewing submitted financial reports of political parties for 2004. The Finance Committee endorsed the proposed composition of the Working Group, drafted by the Support Service of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, and set a deadline of 45 days from the day the Working Group is constituted for reviewing reports submitted by political parties and compiling the 2004 Report.
