30th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 23 October 2023, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered a number of bills in principle, on the agenda of the First Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2023.

1.Bill on Electronic Media, submitted by the Government;
2.Bill on Public Information in the Media, submitted by the Government;
3.Bill on the Confirmation of the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China, submitted by the Government;
4.Bill on the Confirmation of the Film Co-Production Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Turkey, submitted by the Government;
5.Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on Combating Illicit Trade in Cultural Goods, submitted by the Government;
6.Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on Food Security Mechanisms in the Western Balkans, submitted by the Government;
7.Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol of 30 November 1972 and the Amendments of 24 June 1982 and 31 May 1988 of the Convention relating to International Exhibition s signed in Paris on 22 November 1928 and supplemented by the Protocols of 10 May 1948, 16 November 1966, 30 November 1972 and the Amendment of 24 June 1982 and the Amendment of 31 May 1988, submitted by the Government;
8.Bill on the Confirmation of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, Protocol amending the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, Second Protocol amending the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia and Third Protocol amending the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, submitted by the Government.

The Committee found all the bills to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Jelena Zaric Kovacevic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dr Zika Bujuklic, Dubravka Kralj, Milica Nikolic, Dr Ugljesa Mrdic, Sanja Jefic Brankovic, Ljubomir Maric, Olja Petrovic and Zoran Tomic.
