2nd session of the Committee on Environmental Protection
The second session of the Committee on Environmental Protection was held on 24 March. The session was chaired by Miloje Savic, and attended by the Minister of Science and Environmental Protection, Aleksandar Popovic, as well as the Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, Miroslav Nikcevic.

The session focused on current environmental protection issues; in addition, the Committee agreed on the manner of its work.
The Committee discussed the request for further measures to be taken to move a planned major power generation facility from the Belgrade neighbourhood of Mirijevo, as well as the request of Eko-baza Jug from Vlasotince for the creation of a board of inquiry to ascertain the consequences of forest depletion.
