29th Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee
At the sitting held on 17 December, the Foreign Affairs Committee members accepted an initiative for visits in the upcoming period, noted the regular activities of the National Assembly standing delegations and adopted the reports on visits and contacts realised in the previous period.
The Committee members went on to conduct an interview with Miroljub Petrovic, newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Australia, before deployment to diplomatic duty. Ambassador Petrovic stressed that the political dialogue between Serbia and Australia had been less than intensive in the previous period, emphasising however that the exchange of contacts and opinions at the interparliamentary level was satisfactory. The Ambassador presented the two countries’ cooperation prospects and the priorities of his future efforts.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Milos Aligrudic.
