27th session of the Finance Committee
At the session held on 21 February, members of the Finance Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia resolved to request additional information from the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, Radovan Jelasic, who presented an explanation of the report on the situation in the insurance market.
At the session held on 21 February, members of the Finance Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia resolved to request additional information from the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, Radovan Jelasic, who presented an explanation of the report on the situation in the insurance market. The amended report of the National Bank of Serbia on the situation in the insurance market is to be discussed at a session of the Finance Committee scheduled for early March.
Pursuant to Article 32 of the Act on the National Bank, the Finance Committee is authorised to determine whether conditions have been met for the termination of office or dismissal of a member of the Council of the National Bank of Serbia, and is responsible for initiating proceedings before the National Assembly within 60 days from determining that conditions have been met. At today’s session, the Finance Committee resolved that conditions for the dismissal of Vladislav Cvetkovic, appointed member of the Council of the National Bank of Serbia by the National Assembly for a one-year term on 25 February 2004, will be met on 25 February 2005. The Proposal of the Decision on the Dismissal of Vladislav Cvetkovic from the Office of Member of the Council of the National Bank of Serbia, with a suggestion that it should be dealt with under urgent procedure.
