26th Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 28 January 2025, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues considered the resignation tendered to the post of MP by Zivan Bajic and Dr Branko M. Vujkovic.

The Committee noted that the situation falls under Article 131, paragraph 2, item 6 of the Law on Election of MPs which lists resignation as a reason for the termination of an MP’s term of office.

Since an MP’s term of office is terminated on the day they tender their resignation, pursuant to Article 132, paragraph 5 of the Law on Election of MPs, the Committee adopted the Report proposing that the National Assembly, pursuant to Article 133 of said Law, note the termination of the term of office of the abovementioned MPs.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Milenko Jovanov, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Olja Petrovic, Prof. Dr Miloljub Albijanic, Aleksandar Jugovic, Goran Milic, Stefan Kitanovic, Igor Jaksic, Dane Stanojcic, Djordje Komlenski, Branimir Jovanovic and Snezana Paunovic.
