25th session of the Justice and Administration Committee
At its twenty-fifth session, held on 4 February, the Justice and Administration Committee discussed proposals of decisions on the appointment of public prosecutors and deputy public prosecutors, submitted by the High Judicial Council.

The Committee’s session was attended by the Minister of Justice, Zoran Stojkovic, and the Republic Public Prosecutor, Slobodan Jankovic, on behalf of the High Judicial Council.
The Committee endorsed proposals for the appointment of one district public prosecutor and five municipal public prosecutors. Proposals for the appointment of two deputy public prosecutors at the Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office were also endorsed, as were those for the appointment of five deputy public prosecutors at district public prosecutors’ offices and five deputy public prosecutors at municipal public prosecutors’ offices.
When its session resumed, on 9 February, the Committee endorsed proposals for the appointment of fourteen deputy public prosecutors at district public prosecutors’ offices, and twelve deputy public prosecutors at municipal public prosecutors’ offices.
The Committee discussed reports on the termination of office at personal request of twelve judges of municipal courts, two judges of district courts and one judge of a commercial court, the of termination of office due to old age retirement of two justices of the Supreme Court of Serbia, three judges of district courts and three judges of municipal courts, and the termination of office of one judge of a municipal court due to permanent disability.
The termination of office due to old age retirement was noted of the deputy Republic public prosecutor, while the office of two deputy prosecutors at district public prosecutors’ offices and one at a municipal public prosecutors’ office was terminated at personal request.
