25th Sitting of the Environmental Protection Committee

At the sitting held on 19 February, the members of the Environmental Protection Committee reviewed the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Environmental Protection, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Nature Conservation and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Waste Management, in detail.

The Government and the Committee accepted none of the 16 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Environmental Protection. The Committee also submitted four amendments of its own to the Bill.

The Government and the Committee accepted five of the 16 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Nature Conservation.

The Committee decided to accept one of the four amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Waste Management. The Committee also submitted five amendments of its own to the Bill.

The sitting was attended by Committee members Gordana Topic, Nada Lazic, Violeta Lutovac, Dr Gordana Zoric, Sonja Vlahovic, Dr Jezdimir Vucetic, Dr Boban Birmancevic, Vladimir Petkovic, Ivan Karic, and deputy members Gordana Comic and Vlado Babic. The sitting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Branislav Blazic.
