At its session held on 17 February, the Culture and Information Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed the report on the appointment of members of the Council of the Republic Broadcasting Agency.
The Committee’s chairman, Aleksandar Lazarevic, acquainted Committee members with an official letter from Professor Dr Vukman Covic stating that Mr Covic was renouncing his nomination for membership on the Council. Committee member Aleksandar Vucic said that another nominee, Ljiljana Djurdjevac, had informed the Serbian Radical Party Deputies’ Group that she was renouncing her nomination for membership due to other pressing obligations.
As authorised submitter of nominations, the Culture and Information Committee did not accept renunciations, as they had not been tendered in due time.
