24th Sitting of the Culture and Information Committee

At the sitting held on 8 September 2021, the members of the Culture and Information Committee considered in principle the Bill on Preservation of Cultural and Historical Heritage of the Holy Monastery of Hilandar and the Bill on the Use of the Serbian Language in Public Life and the Protection and Preservation of the Cyrillic Alphabet, submitted by the Government.

The bills were presented by acting assistants to the Minister of Culture and Information Danijela Vanusic and Radovan Jokic, and, following a discussion, the Committee members accepted them in principle.

The Committee went on to grant consent to the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the provisional application of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the European Union on the participation of the Republic of Serbia in the Creative Europe Programme (2021-2027) for the Union’s cultural and creative sector pending its coming into force.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Sandra Bozic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Zoran Tomic, Milica Obradovic, Zeljko Tomic, Aleksandar Cotric, Vuk Mircetic, Milos Terzic, Samira Cosovic, Ivan Tasovac, Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, Justina Pupin Koscal and Snezana Paunovic.
