24th Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 29 May, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues reviewed the proposals for the appointment of National Assembly Speaker’s Chief-of-Staff, acting National Assembly Assistant Secretary General – Head of the Legislative Sector, MPs’ requests to assume another public office and/or employment, and the National Assembly Secretary General’s notifications on reprimands issued in the course of the Third and Forth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2017.


Explaining the nomination of Miroslav Sestovic for Chief-of-Staff of the National Assembly Speaker, National Assembly Secretary General Svetislava Bulajic said he was a person with a rich CV, years of experience and high qualifications, which is why he was nominated. Bulajic said that Miroslav Sestovic will be serving as Chief-of-Staff until the end of the National Assembly Speaker’s term of office.

The Committee ruled on the appointment of Miroslav Sestovic as Chief-of-Staff of the National Assembly Speaker by majority vote.

The National Assembly Secretary General proceeded to elaborate on the appointment of Radoslav Vujovic as acting National Assembly Assistant Secretary General – Head of the Legislative Sector for a six-month period. Bulajic said that he had so far served as Head of the Constitutional Sector and has the necessary qualifications and work experience.

The Committee ruled on the appointment of Radoslav Vujovic as acting National Assembly Assistant Secretary General – Head of the Legislative Sector by majority vote.

The Committee went on to review the requests submitted by MP Marjana Maras to assume another public office, and MP Petar Petrovic for additional employment.

Following a debate the Committee gave a positive opinion to MP Marjana Maras to assume the post of Vrbas Municipal Assembly President, and to MP Petar Petrovic to work as Serbian Football Association Ethics Commission Decision-Making Department President.

The Committee also reviewed the notifications submitted by the National Assembly Secretary General on the reprimands issued in the course of the Third and Forth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2017, and ruled to fine MP Srdjan Nogo for two reprimands and denial of floor, and MPs Radoslav Milojicic and Balsa Bozovic for one reprimand issued at the Third Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2017, as well as MPs Maja Videnovic and Marinika Tepic for one reprimand issued at the Forth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2017.

Committee Chairman Dr Aleksandar Martinovic informed the Committee members that the Montenegrin Parliament’s Administrative Committee had sent an initiative to organize a meeting with the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues to exchange relevant experiences, that the Montenegrin delegation would comprise 4 MPs and 2 civil servants, and invited the members to attend the meeting on 12 June.

Finally, the Committee formulated the list for A-I and A-II parking stickers.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Aleksandar Markovic, MD-PhD Darko Laketic, Dr Vesna Rakonjac, Dr Dragana Barisic, Goran Nikolic, Jelena Mijatovic, Stefana Miladinovic, Milorad Mircic, Branka Stamenkovic, Branimir Jovanovic, Momo Colakovic and Petar Petrovic.
