23rd Sitting of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality
At the sitting held on 20 November, the members of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality discussed and unanimously decided to organise a public hearing on “National implementation of the recommendations of the United Nations CEDAW Committee and Council of Europe CAHVIO Convention”.
The Committee members went on to adopt the proposal for the Committee to send a memo to the National Assembly Speaker asking him to address the Government, on the behalf of the National Assembly, and request information on the processing of i.e. reasons why the Ombudsman’s recommendations are not followed.
The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Meho Omerovic.
