21st Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee
At the sitting held on 24 July, the members of the Foreign Affairs Committee conducted an interview with Danilo Vucetic, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Turkey, before deployment for diplomatic duty.
The Committee went on to adopt the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and Montenegro on Reciprocal Representation and Provision of Consular Protection and Services in Third Countries, elaborated by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Committee members also reviewed and accepted the initiative for a visit of representatives of the Security Services Control Committee to Geneva to discuss future cooperation and visit to its counterpart committee in the Swiss Parliament, from 15 to 20 September 2013, extended by the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces.
The Committee also accepted the invitation extended to the Chairperson of the National Assembly’s Security Services Control Committee to take part in the first meeting of the chairpersons of the defence and security committees of South-East European countries in charge of supervising military intelligence services in Split, from 24 to 26 September 2013, as well as the invitation extended to the Head of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to PABSEC, Predrag Markovic, to the 4th International Black Sea Economic Forum - Common Points and Cooperation between Black Sea Region Countries, organised by the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, from 24 to 25 October 2013.
The Committee noted the standing delegations’ regular activities in the upcoming period and adopted the reports on visits and contacts realised.
The Committee members also noted the amendments and modifications to the membership of the parliamentary friendship groups with the US, Germany, UK, Kuwait and Sovereign Order of Malta.
The sitting was chaired by Irena Vujovic, Deputy Committee Chairperson.
