The twentieth session of the Privatisation Committee was held on 19 August 2004, and was chaired by the Committee’s chairman, Milko Stimac.

The session was attended by the Assistant to the Minister of the Economy, Dusan Vuckovic, and the representative of the Privatisation Agency, Snezana Dabovic.

The Committee discussed the Report of the Ministry of the Economy on results of monitoring activities of the Vrnjacka Banja-based transport company Autoprevoz. The Committee recommended that the injured party should re-assess the company’s capital value.

The Committee also considered the Report of the Privatisation Agency on its further action in connection with Arandjelovac-based Vencac Joint-Stock Company, as requested in the Committee’s Conclusion of 27 July 2004. The Committee recommended that a lawsuit should be filed with the aim of terminating the contract.

Today’s session also discussed the Report of the Privatisation Agency on its further action in connection with Valjevo-based Uzor Joint-Stock Company, as requested in the Committee’s Conclusion of 27 July 2004. The Committee decided to form a Sub-committee, comprised of Milan Ninic, Ostoja Stojanovic, Milica Vojic and Milorad Belic, to assess the facts of the company’s privatisation.

The Committee discussed the privatisation process in Kursumlija-based 7. jul, requesting the Privatisation Agency to ensure control over the company from Belgrade, the presence of local administrative authority representatives being essential.

The session also discussed the privatisation process in Boljevac-based Nemetali-Timok. The Committee recommended that the Privatisation Agency should continue monitoring the implementation of the accord reached at the company.

Members of the Committee requested the Privatisation Agency to examine the privatisation process in the Toplica District.
