Minister Stefanovic informed the Committee in detail about the work of the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces on preserving peace and stability of the Republic of Serbia, as well as activities and measures implemented to improve the defence system in the reporting period. He pointed out that the results achieved in said period comply with the country’s strategic commitment to strengthening the defence system by acquiring modern combat systems, as well as improving working conditions and living standards. He stressed that the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces had successfully completed every task set before them and managed to preserve the security and stability of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members gave a positive assessment of the professional conduct and work of the members of the Serbian Armed Forces in achieving priority tasks in the reporting period, underlining their full support for their further engagement in the realisation of key tasks. In the course of the discussion, Minister Stefanovic and the representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces responded to the Committee members’ questions and provided clarifications when needed.

The Committee members found the Ministry of Defence activity information to be detailed, high quality and provided a comprehensive insight into the work and results achieved by the Ministry of Defence in the reporting period.
