17th Sitting of the Culture and Information Committee

At the sitting held on 19 May 2021, the members of the Culture and Information Committee submitted an amendment to the Bill on Renewal of Cultural-Historic Heritage and Development Incentives in Sremski Karlovci, submitted by the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

The amendment was submitted to Article 10, paragraph 1, to add, after the word “may” a comma and the words “with compensation”.

Considering that Article 10, paragraph 1 of the Bill does not stipulate the payment of compensations, the Committee proposed that paragraphs 1 and 3 of Article 10 of the Bill be harmonised viz. that Article 10 of the Bill be expanded to include the stipulation that physical and legal entities may, with compensation, use for commercial purposes the title, name and image of a protected cultural good or recognisable part of a monument complex on the territory of Sremski Karlovci.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Sandra Bozic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Zoran Tomic, Zeljko Tomic, Vuk Mircetic, Natasa Mihailovic- Vacic, Jelica Sretenovic, Snezana Paunovic, Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, Lav-Grigorije Pajkic, Milica Obradovic, Marija Todorovic, Milos Terzic, Nebojsa Bakarec and Ljubomir Maric.
