16th Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 22 April 2021, the members of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered the Proposal of the Decision on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time, submitted by the High Judicial Council (no. 119-639/21 of 9 April 2021), and the Proposal of the Decision on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time, submitted by the High Judicial Council (no. 119-640/21 of 9 April 2021).

At the session held on 30 March 2021, the High Judicial Council ascertained the Proposal of the Decision on the election of judges to the Misdemeanor Court in Vranje, Vrsac, Loznica, Novi Sad, Paracin, Novi Pazar, Pirot, Pozarevac, Prokuplje, Raska, Ruma, Senta, Sjenica, Smederevo, Subotica, Trstenik, Cacak and the Basic Court in Velika Plana.

At the session held on 18 and 23 March 2021, the High Judicial Council ascertained the Proposal of the Decision on the election of judges to the Basic Court in Brus, Bujanovac, Velika Planai, Veliko Gradiste, Vranje, Dimitrovgrad, Zrenjanin, Knjazevac, Krusevac, Kursumlija, Lazarevac, Nis, Pancevo, Paracin, Pozega, Prijepolje, Raska, Sjenica, Smederevo, Subotica and Sabac.

The decision proposals were presented High Judicial Council member Aleksandar Pantic.

The Committee unanimously proposed to the National Assembly to accept the decision proposals on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Deputy Chairperson Biljana Pantic Pilja and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Daniel Gyivanovity, Dejan Kesar, Milan Urosevic, Vesna Krisanov, Toma Fila, Djordje Komlenski, Velibor Milojicic, Nenad Baros, Djordje Dabic, Sanja Jefic Brankovic, Jelena Zaric Kovacevic, Milica Nikolic and Dragan M. Markovic.
