15th session of the Committee on Relations with Serbs Living Outside Serbia
At today’s session, the Committee on Relations with Serbs Living Outside Serbia of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed the draft Bill on the Amnesty of Persons Eligible for Military Service Residing Abroad, proposed by the Ministry of the Diaspora of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
At today’s session, the Committee on Relations with Serbs Living Outside Serbia of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed the draft Bill on the Amnesty of Persons Eligible for Military Service Residing Abroad, proposed by the Ministry of the Diaspora of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. The draft Bill was presented by the Minister of the Diaspora, Vojislav Vukcevic. After the discussion, attended by many non-member deputies, it was decided that the Committee should take up the initiative of the Ministry, while the Legislative Committee should provide its opinion on the draft Bill.
Members of the Committee on Relations with Serbs Living Outside Serbia adopted the Outline Plan of Activities of the Ministry of the Diaspora of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the period ending 31 December 2005.
As the Ministry of the Diaspora had requested assets to be returned to the Diaspora Fund, the Committee on Relations with Serbs Living Outside Serbia recommended to the Government of the Republic of Serbia to adhere to the Government’s conclusion adopted in 2002 approving the refund.
At today’s session the Committee also appointed members of its delegation scheduled to attend the Serbian Unity Congress Annual Convention in the United States. The delegation is to be made up of deputies Vesna Lalic-Dragovic, on behalf of the G17 Plus Deputies’ Group, Miljko Cetrovic, on behalf of the Serbian Radical Party Deputies’ Group, Milovan Markovic, on behalf of the Democratic Party Deputies’ Group, Zoran Nikolic, on behalf of the Democratic Party of Serbia Deputies’ Group, Hranislav Peric, on behalf of the Socialist Party of Serbia Deputies’ Group, Radovan Teodorovic, on behalf of the New Serbia Deputies’ Group, and independent deputy Sanja Cekovic.
The session was chaired by the chairman of the Committee on Relations with Serbs Living Outside Serbia, Miljko Cetrovic.
