15th Sitting of the Environmental Protection Committee
At the sitting held on 22 January, the Environmental Protection Committee discussed two of the bills submitted by the Government and included into the agenda for the Second Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly in 2013.
The bills were elaborated by representatives of the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning.
The Committee decided to adopt the Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol on Conservation and Sustainable Use of Biological and Landscape Diversity to the Framework Convention on the Protection and Sustainable Development of the Carpathians adopted in Kiev on 22 May 2003 and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol on Water and Health to the 1992 Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes.
The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairperson, Milica Vojic Markovic.
