14th Sitting of the Health and Family Committee
At the sitting held on 16 May, the Health and Family Committee discussed the Bill on Patients’ Rights and the Bill on Protection of Persons with Mental Health Problems, in detail.
Out of the 53 amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill on Patients’ Rights, the Government and the Committee accepted 11. The Committee submitted four amendments of its own to articles 17, 23, 36 and 39 of the Bill.
The MPs had submitted 26 amendments to the Bill on Protection of Persons with Mental Health Problems, out of which the Government and the Committee accepted six amendments. The Government also accepted the amendment to article 45, paragraph 1 of the Bill, jointly submitted by MPs Bojan Kostres, Djordje Stojsic, Olena Papuga, Karolj Cizik and Dragan Andric, while the Committee did not accept the amendment.
The sitting was chaired by Prof. Dr Dusan Milisavljevic, Committee Chairman.
