14th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 26 December 2020, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered the following bills in principle:

  1. Bill amending the Law on Public Service Media, submitted by the Government;
  2. Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on Cinematographic Co-production between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of France, submitted by the Government;
  3. Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and Japan on Elimination of Double Taxation with respect to Taxes on Income and Prevention of Tax Evasion and Avoidance, submitted by the Government;
  4. Bill on the Confirmation of the Loan Agreement (Construction of Highway E-80 Nis - Merdare, Section Nis - Plocnik, phase 1) between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank, submitted by the Government, and
  5. Proposal of the Conclusion on the presenting of the European Commission 2020 Report on the Republic of Serbia, submitted by a group of 15 MPs.
The Bill amending the Law on Public Service Media was presented by Assistant Minister of Culture and Information Slavica Trifunovic.

The sitting was also attended by Assistant Minister of Culture and Information Olga Gekic, and on behalf of the Ministry of Finance by Dejan Dabetic and Ana Tripovic.

The Committee unanimously found all the bills on the agenda to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Jelena Zaric Kovacevic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Nevena Veinovic, Olja Petrovic, Vuk Mircetic, Luka Kebara, Ugljesa Mrdic, Djuro Peric, Dubravka Kralj, Jovan Palalic, Dijana Radovic, Ilija Matejic, Milenko Jovanov, Violeta Ocokoljic and Milena Popovic.
