14th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 10 December, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues deliberated on the Proposal of Candidates for judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Serbia, Proposal for the establishment of Candidate List for judges of the Constitutional Court appointed by the President of the Republic, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Agriculture and Rural Development, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Stimulation of Agriculture and Rural Development, Bill amending and modifying the Water Law, Bill on Management of Airports, Bill on Housing and Building Maintenance, Bill on Transport of Dangerous Goods, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public Utilities, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public-Private Partnership and Concessions, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the United Nations on the Trans-European Railway Project Central Office, Bill on the Confirmation of the Multilateral Agreement on Commercial Rights of Non-Scheduled Air Services in Europe, and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on Mutual Abolition of Visas for Holders of Ordinary Passports.


The Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on Mutual Abolition of Visas for Holders of Ordinary Passports was presented by Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic who said that the Agreement has a historic significance and is a crucial step forward in creating an environment conducive to the improvement of political relations and comprehensive economic, cultural, scientific and other cooperation. “This Agreement will set the groundwork for furthering relations and overall cooperation between the two countries”, said Dacic.

The Committee members found all the proposed documents compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Djordje Komlenski, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Aleksandra Majkic, Vesna Markovic, Vesna Vukajlovic Nikolic, Zvonimir Stevic, Krsto Janjusevic, Bojan Torbica, Balint Pasztor, Jelena Kovacevic Zaric, Petar Petrovic and Aleksandar Markovic.
