148th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 26 February, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered the bills on the agenda of the 26th Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 11th Legislature, in detail.


Of the 38 amendments submitted to the Bill on Determining the Origin of Property and Special Tax, the Committee members found the amendment to Article 5 not to comply, while the rest were found to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members found all of the five amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Civil Procedure Code, to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

All of the six amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law of Contract and Torts, were found to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

58 amendments were submitted to the Bill on the Rights of Veterans, Disabled Veterans, Civilian War Invalids and their Family Members, all of which were found to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members found all of the 57 amendments submitted to the Bill on Games of Chance to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee also found the 86 amendments submitted to the Bill on Ascertaining the Facts about the Status of New-Borns Suspected to Have Gone Missing from Maternity Wards in the Republic of Serbia, be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members also considered in principle the Bill amending the Law on Weapons and Ammunition, submitted by MPs Marijan Risticevic, Djordje Komlenski and Bojan Torbica and found it to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee also found the Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol amending the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data and the Bill on the Confirmation of Annex 1 of the Agreement on Economic and Technological Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Djordje Komlenski and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Nedjo Jovanovic, Bojan Torbica, Jelena Zaric Kovacevic, Petar Petrovic, Aleksandra Majkic, Vesna Markovic, Srbislav Filipovic and Dr Balint Pasztor.
