142nd Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 31 January, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered the Proposal of an Authentic Interpretation of Article 48, paragraph 6 of the Law on Enforcement and Security, submitted by MP Dr Aleksandar Martinovic.


In the course of the sitting pursuant to articles 83 and 84 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee members included the Decision Proposal to organize a public hearing into the agenda, to be held on Tuesday 4 February at noon in the National Assembly House, Small Hall. The topic of the public hearing will be the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Election of Members of Parliament and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Local Elections, proposed by 103 MPs of the Serbian Progressive Party Parliamentary Group.

Following a brief debate the Committee decided to forward the Proposal of an Authentic Interpretation of Article 48, paragraph 6 of the Law on Enforcement and Security, submitted by MP Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, to the National Assembly under urgent procedure.

The Committee members also accepted the proposal to organize the abovementioned public hearing.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Djordje Komlenski and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Aleksandra Majkic, Zivan Djurisic, Vesna Markovic, Nedjo Jovanovic, Srbislav Filipovic, Bojan Torbica, Dr Balint Pasztor, Petar Petrovic and Milena Corilic.
