13th session of the Industry Committee

At its thirteenth session, held on 16 February, the Industry Committee discussed a submission of the Business Association of Manufacturers of Power Consumption Measuring Equipment relating to the procurement of up-to-date power meters.


At its thirteenth session, held on 16 February, the Industry Committee discussed a submission of the Business Association of Manufacturers of Power Consumption Measuring Equipment relating to the procurement of up-to-date power meters. Representatives of the Association took part in the session, as did officials from EPS, the national power generation company.

The Committee advised EPS to give precedence to domestic manufacturers in cases involving equipment of similar quality, while observing provisions set down by legislation.

The Committee also discussed a submission of Kraljevo-based manufacturer Magnohrom and the chairman of the Kraljevo Municipal Assembly concerning the situation at the company. It was agreed that representatives of the Committee would visit Magnohrom to assess the situation, while additional information was requested from the Ministry of the Economy. Officials from the Ministry were invited to attend the session to discuss the matter.

The session also discussed a submission from the Kragujevac-based Prizbest. Committee members resolved to forward the information to the Republic Public Prosecutor, and requested that he should pay special attention to the preservation of state property.
