139th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 22 January 2020, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered the amendments submitted to the bills on the agenda of the 19th Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 11th Legislature.


The Committee members found the eight amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on National Qualifications Framework of the Republic of Serbia to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

Of the 18 amendments submitted to the Bill on Trade Marks, the Committee members found all except for the one submitted to Article 109 by MP Nikola Savic, to comply with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

Of the 18 amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Foundations of the Education System, the Committee members found the three submitted to Article 10 by MP Filip Stojanovic, Article 21 by MP Tomislav Ljubenovic and Article 24 by MP Vjerica Radeta, not to comply with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia, while the rest were found to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members found the 11 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Secondary Education, 12 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Dual Education and the 36 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Culture to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.
Of the 32 amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill on Archival Material and Archival Activity, the Committee found the amendments submitted by MPs Nemanja Sarovic to Article 23, Miljan Damjanovic to Article 28, Igor Mirovic to Article 63, Natasa Jovanovic to Article 63, Ruzica Nikolic to Article 65 and Natasa Jovanovic to Article 65 not to comply with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia, while the rest were found to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Djordje Komlenski and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Nedjo Jovanovic, Vesna Nikolic Vukajlovic, Krsto Janjusevic, Bojan Torbica, Jelena Zaric Kovacevic, Petar Petrovic, Aleksandra Majkic, Vesna Markovic, Srbislav Filipovic, Dr Balint Pasztor and Milena Corilic.
