130th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 25 November, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered the amendments to the Republic of Serbia 2020 Budget Bill, with its accompanying Proposal of the Decision to grant consent to the Republic Pension and Disability Insurance Fund 2020 Financial Plan, Proposal of the Decision to grant consent to the Republic Health Insurance Fund 2020 Financial Plan, Proposal of the Decision to grant consent to the National Employment Service 2020 Financial Plan and the Proposal of the Decision to grant consent to the Fund for Social Insurance of Military Insured 2020 Financial Plan, submitted by the Government.


Of the 115 amendments submitted to the Bill, the Committee found six not to comply with the Budget System Law, Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members found the amendment submitted by MP Nada Lazic to Article 38 of the Bill not to comply with the Law on Financing of Local Self-Government.

The Committee also rejected the three amendment submitted to Article 8 of the Bill by MPs Olena Papuga, Milan Lapcevic and Zoran Zivkovic.

The remaining amendments were found to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Djordje Komlenski and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Vesna Markovic, Nedjo Jovanovic, Srbislav Filipovic, Krsto Janjusevic, Dr Balint Pasztor, Jelena Zaric Kovacevic and Milena Corilic.
