12th Sitting of the Environmental Protection Committee
At the sitting held on 11 February, the Environmental Protection Committee discussed, in principle, the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Chemicals, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Biocidal Products and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Integrated Environmental Pollution Prevention and Control, submitted by the Government.
In addition to the Committee members, State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Stana Bozovic and other Ministry representatives also took part in the discussion on the bills.
Representatives of the non-governmental sector participated in the discussion via the “Green Chair” mechanism.
Following the discussion, the Committee decided to propose that the National Assembly accept all three of the bills.
The Committee members then proceeded to adopt the proposal to organise a public hearing on “Raising Windbreaks/Shelterbelts and Erosion Control”, jointly submitted by Committee members Nada Lazic, Ivan Karic and Gordana Comic.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Branislav Blazic.
